What is the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP)?
The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) is a federal government program that is intended to provide coverage for all Canadian residents who do not have dental benefits and have a household income of less than $90,000 a year. This program helps lower financial barriers to oral health care and provides access to a wide range of dental services. At wen Sound Dental Clinic we offer the CDCP plan to current and new patients in the Owen Sound and surrounding region.
Eligibility
To qualify for the CDCP, you must satisfy the following criteria:
- No existing dental insurance coverage

Owen Sound Dental Clinic is accepting the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP)
The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) offers targeted financial support in the form of a subsidy to help eligible individuals and families access dental care. The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) is based on the fee schedule outlined by the Canadian Government and Sunlife. However, please note that our clinic follows the Ontario Dental Association's (ODA) fee guide, which may result in some differences in charges. As a result, any balance between the CDCP subsidy and our clinic’s fees will be the responsibility of the patient. To see if you qualify please visit: https://www.canada.ca/en/servi...
